The Criminal Intelligence Department (CID) discreetly gathers and processes information received from informants and other sources. In the investigation process, the informant and the information are anonymous.
The CID’s main task is that of providing information in ongoing investigations. Anyone can give information to the CID. It is imperative that informants never reveal their involvement to third parties in order to guarantee their own anonymity. Failing to do so, creates a risk for protection and safety.
