The Justice K-9 Unit consists of a joint working relationship between the Police Department, Customs Department and the Prison.
The Justice K-9 unit has several dogs: sniffer dogs who are highly trained to search for traces of drugs, fire arms, explosives and cellular phones.
These sniffer dogs execute controls on a daily basis, at our Seaport and Airport, to prevent the entry of illicit drugs and other illegal items.
The Justice K-9 Unit also has one patrol dog. This dog is highly trained to assist in the search and arrest of violent or aggressive suspects during dangerous situations.
